The two were said to be living separately since the last four years. The seven years itch seemed to have hit them hard as now the two will officially head for a divorce. A source revealed that though problems have been rife for long time but for the last nine months there was no communication between Upasana and Neeraj. The actress did not even invite him for her birthday. Though they tried hard to resolve their issues but the marriage had reached at irrevocable phase. Denying that career was the cause of their divorce, Neeraj has been quoted saying that they weren't on the same page and he couldn't meet her expectations. They decided to part ways amicably. Upasana doesn't need him and he shouldn't hold her back. They have worked together on numerous occasions. She is his senior, but her popularity or their professional lives have never posed a threat to their marriage. There are no ego clashes on that front. They are not made for each other.
